Practice Block Hue
Sample Blocks
The practice block uses the pure red, blue and yellow primary colors from the color wheel as defined by Sir Isaac Newton. You can use prints or solids but if you use prints, make sure the strongly dominant color is the pure red, yellow or blue. A color scheme using primary colors tends to be bright and happy, patriotic, nautical, childlike, graphic and/or strong. Make three practice blocks changing colors for C, D and E.* You need at least one fabric with each primary as well as white or muslin fabric for the background.
